What Makes Andrea Special?
Other than being the Mom of one of our favorite interns Sam Andrea brings a lot of experience to HARTZ PT. She worked in the trust department of a local bank until her kids were born. Then was a stay-at-home mom. As the kids got older, she worked as a pharmacy technician and most recently, as a paraprofessional at a local elementary school.

What energizes you at work?
My co-workers and our patients. I truly enjoy interacting with all our patients. They have such great personalities and it’s just so fun to watch how each therapist can connect with them!
Most important advice you give patients?
Trust the process. In the short time I’ve been here, I’ve seen so many people stop at my desk and say they haven’t felt this good in a long time.
What is the biggest misconception people have about your position?
I would say the biggest misconception is that we just answer the phone and take co-pays.
What is one thing that makes you day better?
A good cup of coffee while reading texts from my kids.
Where would you be right now if you had no obligations?
Somewhere in the mountains of Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont with my husband hiking and enjoying the scenery.

What is your favorite meal of the day?
One that I don’t have to cook!
Do you have any pets?
A guinea pig named Luna and a very large and overly exuberant dog named Bear.
Do you have a favorite tradition?
Every year Santa delivers the Christmas Lego set and the kids put it together after all the presents are opened. The other is when the whole family gets together to make applesauce. Both traditions are getting harder as the kids get older and schedules get busier!
