HARTZ PT is searching for a full-time Operations Manager for a growing locally-owned outpatient physical therapy company with 6 locations in Lancaster, PA. Applicant should have strong operations skills and the ability to approach business with a creative point of view to assist the leadership team manage the day-to-day operations of the business. The ideal candidate has administrative or billing experience in healthcare including proficiency with the practices, policies, and procedures of the health care field. An interest or willingness to handle minor technology issues and simple financial reporting is encouraged as well.
Responsibilities of this role
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Direct oversight / management of administrative team, including Patient Case Coordinators and Billing Liaison
- Collaborate with Leadership team to ensure smooth operations helping to build a positive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met
- Schedule management including proactively adjusting coverage to ensure maximum utilization of staff and securing coverage for schedule changes.
- Monthly reporting responsibilities including familiarity of Microsoft Excel to download and manipulate customized reports from the EMR and billing systems.
- Compliance with HIPAA including annual employee training
- Oversee new business initiatives including utilizing technology to increase productivity of employees and a strong aptitude to troubleshoot technology issues as needed.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions
- Manage projects and initiatives to drive operational excellence
Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Management or Business preferred
- Five or more years of experience in management, billing and/or health care administration.
- Ideal candidate will have a healthcare background with experience in all 3 areas
- Demonstrated ability to work cohesively with a team toward a common goal
- Proven experience in process improvement and project management
- Excellent leadership skills, positive attitude and strong initiative to achieve new skills
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA and other healthcare compliance issues
- Solid grasp of Microsoft Excel, data analysis and performance metrics
- Ability to diagnose problems quickly and coordinate potential solutions
- Quick to grasp new technology and initiative to independently solve issues
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to travel to all offices as warranted (position will be based in our Lititz office)
