Billing Liaison

Applicant will collaborate with our team and our billing vendor to reduce the risk of revenue loss and improve overall billing cycle efficiency

HARTZ PT is looking for a Full-Time Medical Billing Liaison who will work with our billing vendor* to ensure accurate and timely payment of claims. As the primary link between our team and our billing vendor, you will be responsible for researching and completing assigned tasks to ensure accurate and timely payment of claims.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  1. Communication link between our team and WebPT.
  2. Compilation and transmission of EOBs to billing vendor
  3. Monthly billing reports
  4. Ensuring accuracy of refund and collection lists.
  5. Complete provider credentialing as needed.
  6. Attendance at annual PA billing and reimbursement training provided by the APTA.
  7. Primary in-house resource for questions from our team regarding insurance billing practices and requirements.
  8. Work together with administrative team to ensure cohesive functioning between clinicians, front desk and billing department.
  9. Taking initiative to communicate with patients, the insurance company or the insurance commission regarding long overdue accounts when billing vendor has exhausted all their options.
  10. Assist management in the review and negotiation of contracted insurance rates.

* NOTE: All primary billing functions have been outsourced to WebPT. They handle claim submissions including scrubbing, payment posting, management of claim denials, rebilling as needed, patient billing and collection as well as answering patient billing questions.

Qualified Candidates will possess the following skills:

  • Prior experience working with PA insurance company billing rules
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Organizational skills are essential
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology platforms
  • Strong initiative to master new skillsets and tasks
  • Work ethic must foster judicial completion of job duties
  • Positive attitude and outlook both in and out of the office
  • Motivation to continually learn individually and within a team environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot tasks independently
  • 2-4 years of relevant medical billing experience required
